Notice is hereby given that the Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services, Division of Community Development, City of Fort Wayne, Indiana will be hosting a public meeting at 6 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2015 to share the Consolidated Annual Action Performance Evaluation Review (CAPER) report. The meeting, open to the public, will be held at the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Community Center, 233 West Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. The CAPER report will be posted online at www.cityoffortwayne.org beginning March 15, 2015 and will be available for 15 days. Comments may be sent via email to OHNS@cityoffortwayne.org or mailed to Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services, 200 East Berry Street, Suite 320, Fort Wayne, IN 46802, attn.: CAPER. All comments received prior to 4 PM March 30, 2015 will be included in the City’s report to the federal department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The CAPER document is the tallying of all the federal dollars received by OHNS in 2014 and how those funds were utilized in our community. It includes Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership Act, Neighborhood Stabilization Program, and Emergency Solutions Grant Programs. HUD requires the City to allocate its funding in accordance with community priorities which are identified though citizen participation opportunities throughout the year. This public meeting is an opportunity for residents to learn about the City’s 2014 accomplishments as it strives to fulfill the community’s priorities, needs and gaps.
The CAPER document draft is available in hard copy format at the desks of OHNS on the third floor of Citizens Square from 8:00 AM to 5 PM Monday – Friday and at the Pontiac branch of the Allen County Public Library during regular business hours through March 30, 2015.
